இன்னா எனத்தான் உணர்ந்தவை துன்னாமை
வேண்டும் பிறன்கண் செயல்.
கலைஞர் உரை
ஒருவன் தன்னுடைய வாழ்க்கையில் துன்பமானவை என்று அனுபவித்து அறிந்தவற்றை, மற்றவர்க்குச் செய்யாமலிருக்க வேண்டும்
மு. வரதராசன் உரை
ஒருவன் துன்பமானவை என்று தன் வாழ்க்கையில் கண்டு உணர்ந்தவைகளை மற்றவனிடத்தில் செய்யாமல் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.
சாலமன் பாப்பையா உரை
தீமை எனத் தான் அறிந்தவற்றை அடுத்தவர்க்குச் செய்யாது இருக்க வேண்டும்.
பாரி மேலகர் உரை
பரிமேலழகர் உரை: இன்னா எனத் தான் உணர்ந்தவை - இவை மக்கட்கு இன்னாதன என அனுமானத்தால் தான் அறிந்தவற்றை, பிறன்கண் செயல் துன்னாமை வேண்டும் - பிறன் மாட்டுச் செய்தலை மேவாமை துறந்தவனுக்கு வேண்டும். (இன்பதுன்பங்கள் உயிர்க்குணம் ஆகலின், அவை காட்சி அளவையான் அறியப்படாமை அறிக. அறமும் பாவமும் உளவாவது மனம் உளனாயவழி ஆகலான், 'உணர்ந்தவை' என்றார்.).
மணி குடவர் உரை
மணக்குடவர் உரை: தான் இன்னாதன இவையென்று அறிந்தவற்றைப் பிறற்குச் செய்தலை மேவாமை வேண்டும். இஃது இன்னா செய்யாமை வேண்டு மென்றது.
வி முனுசாமி உரை
திருக்குறளார் வீ. முனிசாமி உரை: "இவை மக்களுக்குத் துன்பம் தருபவை" என் அறிந்தவற்றைத் துறவியானவன் பிறரிடத்தில் செய்வதைக் கருத்தில் கொள்ளாதிருத்தல் வேண்டும்.
