தீயினால் சுட்டெரிப்பது போன்ற துன்பங்களை ஒருவன் தொடர்ந்து செய்தாலும் அதற்காக வருந்தி அவன் உறவு கொள்ள வரும் போது சினங்கொள்ளாமல் இருப்பதே நல்லது

பலச் சுடர்களை உடைய பெரு நெருப்பில் தோய்வது போன்ற துன்பத்தை ஒருவன் செய்த போதிலும் கூடுமானால் அவன் மேல் சினங் கொள்ளாதிருத்தல் நல்லது.
சாலமன் பாப்பையா உரை
பல சுடரை உடைய பெருநெருப்பு நம் மீது பட்டது போன்ற தீமையை ஒருவன் நமக்குச் செய்தாலும், நம்மால் கோபம் கொள்ளாதிருக்க முடியுமானால் அது நம் உடலுக்கும் நல்லது.

பரிமேலழகர் உரை: இணர் எரி தோய்வு அன்ன இன்னா செயினும் - பல சுடரை உடைத்தாய பேரெரி வந்து தோய்ந்தாலொத்த இன்னாதவற்றை ஒருவன் செய்தானாயினும்; வெகுளாமை புணரின் நன்று - அவனை வெகுளாமை ஒருவற்குக் கூடுமாயின் அது நன்று. (இன்னாமையின் மிகுதி தோன்ற 'இணர் எரி' என்றும், அதனை மேன்மேலும் செய்தல் தோன்ற 'இன்னா' என்றும், அச்செயல் முனிவரையும் வெகுள்விக்கும் என்பது தோன்றப் 'புணரின்' என்றும் கூறினார். இதனான் வெகுளாமையது நன்மை கூறப்பட்டது.).

மணக்குடவர் உரை: சினத்தைப் பொருளாகக் கொண்டவன் கெடுதல், நிலத்தெறிந்தவன்கை தப்பாமற் பட்டதுபோலும், இது பொருட்கேடு வருமென்றது.

திருக்குறளார் வீ. முனிசாமி உரை: பல சுடர்களையுடைய பெரிய எரி (செருப்பு) எல்லாம் வந்து ஒன்றாகச் சேர்ந்து போன்ற துன்பத்தினை ஒருவன் செய்தாலும், கூடுமானால் அவன்மீது கோபிக்காதிருத்தல் நல்லது.
