இறுகத் தழுவியிருந்த கைகளைக் கொஞ்சம் தளர்த்தவே அந்தச் சிறு இடைவெளியையும் பொறுத்துக் கொள்ள முடியாமல் காதலியின் நெற்றி, பசலைநிறம் கொண்டு விட்டது

தழுவிய கைகளைத் தளர்த்தியவுடனே, பைந்தொடி அணிந்த காதலியின் நெற்றி, ( அவ்வளவு சிறியதாகிய பிரிவையும் பொறுக்காமல்) பசலை நிறம் அடைந்தது.
சாலமன் பாப்பையா உரை
முன்பு அவளை நான் இறுகத் தழுவி, அது அவளுக்கு வருத்தம் தருமோ என்று மெல்லக் கையை விட அதற்கே பொன் வளையங்களை அணிந்த அப்பேதையின் நெற்றியின் நிறம் ஒளி குறைந்ததே!
பாரி மேலகர் உரை
பரிமேலழகர் உரை: (வினைமுடிதது மீளலுற்ற தலைமகன், முன் நிகழ்ந்தது நினைந்து தன்னுள்ளே சொல்லியது.) முயங்கிய கைகளை ஊக்க - தன்னை இறுக முயங்கிய கைகளை 'இவட்கு நோம்' என்று கருதி ஒருஞான்று யான் நெகிழ்ந்தேனாக; பைந்தொடி பேதை நுதல் பசந்தது - அத்துணையும் பொறாது பைந்தொடிகளை அணிந்த பேதையது நுதல் பசந்தது, அப்பெற்றித்தாய நுதல் இப்பிரிவிற்கு யாது செய்யுமோ? ('இனிக்கடிதிற் செல்லவேண்டும்' என்பது கருத்து.).

மணக்குடவர் உரை: யான் பிரிவதாக நினைத்து அவள் முயங்கிய கைகளை நீக்கினேனாக; அதனை யறிந்து பசுத்ததொடியினையுடைய பேதை நுதல் பசந்தது.
வி முனுசாமி உரை
திருக்குறளார் வீ. முனிசாமி உரை: தன்னை இறுகத் தழுவிய கைகளை இவளுக்கு நோகும் என்று கருதி ஒரு போது நான் தளர்த்தினேன், அதனையும் கூடப் பொறுக்கமுடியாமல் பசிய வளையவல்களையணிந்த இப்போதையினுடைய நுதல் பசலை நிறம் அடைந்தது.
